Josh Jacobs expected to report before Raiders opener

Las Vegas Raiders running back Josh Jacobs is expected to report to the team before Week 1 against the Denver Broncos.

What It Means:

Jacobs has been holding out for a long-term contract after declining to sign the $10.1 million franchise tag. The Raiders haven't been able to fine Jacobs for missed practices, so he's expected to show up for work right before the start of the regular season. Zamir White could see an expanded early-season role if Jacobs needs time to shake off any rust.

Jacobs led the NFL in touches (393), rushing yards (1,653), and yards from scrimmage (2,053) last season. He's the RB9 in numberFire's preseason rankings and our models project him for 282.7 carries, 1,316.6 rushing yards, 49.0 targets, 35.3 receptions, 228.6 receiving yards, and 12.32 total touchdowns.
